Two weeks ago I held the end presentation at school. It went pretty well, I felt like I covered everything I wanted to say. I also turned in my report. I'm happy with the end result, but there is still room for improvement. You can read all about it in my report, click on "Documents" to find it.
On to the next project, Headphones!

After the CAD-model come the drawings for manufacturing. I made those and put them by "documents". I also made a expoded view simulation of the CAD-model. Now I have to make my final report ready and prepare my presentation for thursday. The project is coming to an end, and I still have lots to do. I finished my CAD-Model today. Now I have to make drawings for manufacturing, begin to make the mailbox and make a report. I ordered some parts this week, they come in next week. I hope everything will be ready by Thursday, but it's gonna be close. Busy busy busy! You can find all the individual parts in "Documents".
I made a morphological analysis (click "documents" to take a look) a while back and got 3 concepts out of it. Concept 1 Concept 2 Concept 3 From these concepts I made a choice of concepts in consulation with my mentors. Concept 2 is the one I will continue with. Now I have to make models and test the functions that are in the concept. Once all of those are clear I can begin with making CAD-Models and drawings for manufacturing. The models: With the left model I tested 2 things.
1. The cylinder axis. 2. The one way opening for the mail. They both worked fine. However, I decided to cancel the one way opening, because it is kinda useless in my concept. This is because the system is already capped by the slide opening. With the right model I tested the slide opening. It worked alright but it was kinda rough to slide it up and down, but this won't be a problem once it will be made with metal. It all starts with the plan of approach. From here I will start with the project. |
